CARA & THE SKY

Our Story

Create a right attitude and Reach the Sky

ABOUT THE BRAND

We are Cara & The Sky, an independent British brand born from a desire to inspire positivity - bringing colour, unique style and sustainable knitwear to the free spirited.

All our consciously crafted designs, including unique twist, colour and stitch combinations, have been developed by our founder Cara Melzack and produced in the UK.

We choose to dance to the beat of our own drum, creating timeless, high-quality and limited collections for you to cherish this season and beyond. Our small-scale production allows for us to work closely with our suppliers while ensuring a slower approach to fashion. Since launching in 2019, we are stocked in over 75 boutiques across the UK, Ireland and Canada, as well as marketplaces and platforms including Young British Designers, Wolf and Badger and Joules.

Every day we challenge ourselves to ‘Create A Right Attitude & Reach The Sky’. When you believe in yourself, live life to the fullest and have the right outlook, then anything is possible.

The sky’s the limit to what you can achieve.

A MESSAGE FROM CARA

Hi there! I’m Cara, the founder of Cara & The Sky.

When I was made redundant in early 2019, I took the chance to chase my dream of starting my own brand.

Having worked in the fashion industry for over 10 years, it was an opportunity to use my expertise, knowledge and passion to build a knitwear brand with a focus on sustainability, colour and longevity.

I am passionate about all things knit and only want to create pieces that are locally made and consciously produced. I work closely with all our manufacturers and design each piece myself!

Over the last three years, we have continued to grow and I am so proud of all we have already achieved as a brand. I am now a mum to my beautiful daughter Maisie and learning to balance motherhood with being a business owner.

Thank you to all our stockists and wonderful customers who have been a part of our journey so far. I can’t wait to share all that’s to come.
